Working with clay is very satisfying to me. I’m able to incorporate many of my interests into creating art with one medium. I’m able to work the clay with my hands and satisfy my need for physical creation and problem solving. I have a laser engraver and am able to transform my hand-drawn artwork and digital graphics into stamps and patterns for unique textures and patterns to use on the clay. I’m able to carve clay, and, by using underglaze painting techniques, I hand-paint my original artwork onto the unfired clay.

The glaze colors are endless and a kiln opening is like waiting for Christmas morning...you never know what surprises await! I look forward to growing my skill-set with this medium and seeing where my ideas take me.

Each piece is 100% unique and is stoneware pottery.
