Butterfly Wing Ceramic Pottery, Tumbler Cup & Bowl, Rainbow Colors, Bright Hand Painted Handmade Stoneware, Candy Dish, Black and White
My butterfly wing pottery bowl and handleless mug tumbler are individually handmade, and hand painted with non-toxic glaze. Each are functional pieces of ceramic pottery. I used the slab method to build the stoneware dish. The cup is wheel thrown. The bright, rainbow color underglazes have a watercolor quality.
The bowl has an organic quality. It has no foot, and therefore has a less stable base. It is best used without liquids and is perfect for fruit, bread, candy, or simply to display.
Once the clay was bone dry, I fired to bisque in my small home studio kiln. Bisque firing takes about 13 hours. Once the bisque firing is complete, the final glaze is hand painted, allowed to dry, and then fired again in the final stage (another 10+ hours).
The photo shows the actual piece you will receive. Expect slight perfect-imperfections, as this piece is made by hand.
In order to prolong the durability, I recommend hand washing with mild detergent, like Dawn.
Dishwasher and microwave safe.
The glaze is lead free, non-toxic and food safe.
Ceramics should be handled with care, as they can break, chip, or crack if dropped.
