Texas Wine Cups with Thumb Dent & Wine Bottle Stoppers, Handmade Ceramic Pottery Barware Gift for Austin Football, Housewarming or Groomsman
My handmade stoneware Texas thumb dent wine cup tumblers and matching wine bottle stoppers make great housewarming or graduation gifts. Each cup is 100% handmade and wheel-thrown. The bottle stoppers are formed by hand, hand carved, and are stamped with the state of Texas shape. I hand painted with lead-free, non-toxic glaze. A functional piece of ceramic pottery makes a beautiful gift for college graduation, groomsman, housewarming, birthday, Christmas, hostess, and more.
Once the clay was bone dry, I fired to bisque in my small home studio kiln. Bisque firing takes about 8+ hours. Once the bisque firing is complete, the final glaze is hand painted, allowed to dry, and then fired again in the final stage (another 8+ hours). This piece was fired three times, allowing the underglaze to be fired and set before the final application of clear.
The photo shows the actual piece you will receive. Expect slight perfect-imperfections, as each piece is 100% made by hand.

In order to prolong the durability, I recommend hand washing with mild detergent, like Dawn.
Cups are microwave and dishwasher safe. Please hand wash bottle stoppers.
The glaze is lead-free, non-toxic and food safe.
Do not pour boiling liquid as thermal shock could occur.
Ceramics should be handled with care, as they can break, chip, or crack if dropped.

The classic chrome bottle stoppers are made from a solid (not hollow) piece of metal material with a shiny, chrome plating. The stoppers have six protruding rubber seals that provide you with an airtight seal when preserving your wine. Each stopper measures approx. 57/64” at the top (wide end). You can use the bottle stoppers for sealing wine, oil, vinegar and more.
