Copper, Blue and Green Sunflower Ceramic Coffee Mug, Hand Painted Cup, Cuerda Seca Technique
My handmade, wheel-thrown, ceramic coffee cups are one-of-a-kind. Perfect pottery pieces for your favorite beverage, coffee, tea, wine, or simply water or juice. The mug's copper flower is glazed using the cuerda seca technique.
This functional stoneware ceramic pottery cup make the perfect gift for Christmas, Friendsgiving, housewarming, birthday, Mother's Day, and more!
Once the clay was bone dry, I fired to bisque in my small home studio kiln. Bisque firing takes about 13 hours. Once the bisque firing is complete, the final glaze is hand painted, allowed to dry, and then fired again in the final stage (another 10+ hours).
The photo shows the actual piece you will receive. Expect slight perfect-imperfections, as this piece is made by hand.
In order to prolong the durability, I recommend hand washing with mild detergent, like Dawn.
Dishwasher and microwave safe.
The glaze is non-toxic and food safe.
Ceramics should be handled with care, as they can break, chip, or crack if dropped.
Give as a gift, or bring some original and functional artwork to your own collection with a beautiful pottery piece!
