Agave Cactus Pottery Bowl, BoHo Handmade Pinch Pot, Tea Bag Rest, Terra Cotta, Turquoise, Sgraffito, Blue, Trinket Dish, Condiment Dish
My adorable agave terra cotta pinch pot bowl is hand-shaped and hand-carved with the sgraffito technique. The outside is adorned with a black underglaze and has hand-drawn and hand scraped agave leaves. The inside glaze is a transparent turquoise and blue with multi-colored speckled dots. This sweet little bowl is 100% handmade and is functional ceramic earthenware pottery and is perfect for any lover of the desert southwest.
3.5" diameter at the top. 2.25" diameter at the base.
1.95" tall and approximately 1/8"" thick.
I take raw clay and shape it intuitively by hand. Once the clay is bone dry, I fire to bisque in my small home studio kiln. Bisque firing takes about 13 hours. Once the bisque firing is complete, the final glaze is hand painted, allowed to dry, and then fired again in the final stage (another 8-10 hours).
Each piece is 100% unique. The photo shows the actual piece you will receive.
In order to prolong the durability, I recommend hand washing with mild detergent. Dishwasher use is not recommended and do not microwave. The glaze is food safe. Ceramics should be treated with care, as it can break, chip, or crack if dropped.
