Sugar Skull Coffee Mug, Death & Rebirth Handleless Stoneware Pottery Ceramic Cup, Handmade Gift, Day of the Dead
My handmade sugar skull pottery mugs make unique gifts for day of the dead, or for any skull-lover. Each drink cup is individually handcrafted, hand painted with underglaze, and is a functional piece of ceramic pottery. Each piece is unique. This piece has hand painted "Death & Rebirth" text with hand-stamped, and screen printed, skull design images. The handle and base are hand carved.
Once the clay is bone dry, I fire to bisque in my small home studio kiln. Bisque firing takes about 8+hours. Once the bisque firing is complete, the final glaze is hand painted, allowed to dry, and then fired again in the final stage (another 8+ hours).
The photo shows the actual piece you will receive. Expect slight variations and perfect-imperfections, as each is made by hand.
In order to prolong the durability, I recommend hand washing with mild detergent (like Dawn).
Dishwasher and microwave safe. Take care, as microwave can get hot.
The glaze is food safe, lead-free, and non-toxic.
Do not pour boiling water, as thermal shock could occur.
Ceramics should be treated with care, as it can break, chip, or crack if dropped.
